How it works

How to resize a photo

  1. Choose your photos

Drag them into the box, pick them on your device or paste one with Ctrl+V. iPhone photos (HEIC) work too.

  2. Choose the new size

By width, by height, within a box, by percentage or an exact size. The proportions stay the same unless you choose otherwise.

  3. Download

Download each photo on its own or all together as a ZIP. The name tells you the new size, for example holiday-1200px.jpg.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will my photo be enlarged if it is already small?

No. A photo that is already smaller than you ask stays as it is, because enlarging makes it blurry. If you do want to enlarge, tick “Allow enlarging”.

Which size should I pick for a website or email?

For a website, 1600 to 2000 pixels wide is plenty; for email or chat, 1200 to 1600. A phone photo is often 4000 pixels wide: resizing makes it much lighter without any visible difference on a screen.

Are my photos sent anywhere?

No. Resizing happens in your own browser. Your photos never leave your device, not even for a moment.
