No, you draw the areas yourself. That way you decide exactly what disappears, and nothing slips through without you seeing it.
Which is safer: pixelate or blur?
Large blocks or a strong blur. With a light blur a number plate can sometimes still be read. Always check the result before you share it.
Is my photo sent to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device. Your photo is not sent anywhere.
